Google’s grammar check and the Alexa powered handsfree hospital room

Google wants to make your emails better

They already have the feature to help finish your sentences, now they want to make sure your you’re using the right grammar. It’ll be able to spot mistakes such as the wrong their, affect or two (and more..) and alert you with a blue squiggly line. It’s rolling out now to G-Suite customers and will likely be coming to your regular Gmail shortly.

Amazon’s Alexa is headed to hospital

At Cedars-Sinai in LA, 100 hospital rooms now have an Alexa to help with things like turning on the TV, but also comes powered by a few extra special features. Say, “Alexa tell my nurse I’m in pain” or “Alexa tell my nurse I need to go to the bathroom” and it’ll send a message to the right person and they’ll be able to help you out, all hands free.
